Probably not fit for a travel guide but interesting nontheless

[edit]

The rescue of Umberto Nobile was turned into the oldest German language audio play still extant. Nobile's life was quite interesting in itself as he was demoted by the fascist government, left for the Soviet Union and spent the last years of the war in fascist Spain before returning to Italy - he even got elected to the constituent assembly as an independent on the Communist ticket. A couple of boats have been named after him. And then there is this to get it back to a travel focus. Hobbitschuster (talk) 09:59, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
