Alternative banner for this article?

[edit]
Banner currently used in this article
Suggested new alternative banner
3rd option

I created a new alternative banner for this article (I initially created it first and foremost so that it would be used at the top of the parallel article in the Hebrew edition of Wikivoyage, yet I later decided to also suggest that the English Wikivoyage community would consider using it here as well). So, which banner do you prefer having at the top of this article? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 13:05, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

New banner is a much better crop as it does not cut off halfway through the castle. Can you play with the colours a bit to make it look less like an old photograph taken on a not-so-nice wintry day (which it probably is, but does not have to look like it :D )? Again, this is the best I could do with what I had available. ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 14:17, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
The new suggestion without the cropped-out St. Vitus cathedral is surely better. I'm for the change. Danapit (talk) 14:38, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:15, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes composition of the new proposal is better. Looked through my collection (which include the photo for the current one). Have some sharper and brighter images but not with a composition of the buildings that fits well in 7:1. If others support the new one, I can improve the brightness and contrast on it. --Traveler100 (talk) 19:12, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
The original is nice, but the cropping makes me favour the second. James Atalk 09:52, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
added a 3rd option. --Traveler100 (talk) 11:51, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I still prefer the 2nd, I am afraid. PrinceGloria (talk) 11:52, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
The 2nd one has the nicest composition, I find. Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:16, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Owned by the state/church?

[edit]

The sentence The entry to the St. Vithus Cathedral is free (but crowds are regulated) when the owned by the state, but money is charged when owned by the Catholic church. The legal battle over the ownership of the cathedral still continues. is probably grammatically incorrect. I don't understand what's the meaning of this sentence. Who "owns" it at the moment? Shouldn't we replace it by that and put the legal battle things into the "Understand" section? --Saraedum (talk) 11:57, 27 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
