[edit] Lanugage versions

Hi, it seems as if the search box and the arrangement of all sidebar links in the German version are now different than before and different compared to the Italian WV version. And although I have selected English as my profile language, it still "Mitmachen" and "Projekt unterstützen" in German. --Felix 14:14, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Rather a missconfiguration than a real bug. Roland could not resist to play with the new configuration features imediately after the upgrade. Best we ask him. -- Hansm 16:54, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
No bug. We need some new system messages. I will look to it. --Roland 08:11, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
The messages named sitesupport-url and sitesupport are no longer supported since the final 1.13 version (included upto v1.13 beta – therefore it's a bug). For the participation I created a new system message wv-participation. --Roland 09:01, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Seems to work on :de, but :tech is still shwoing a wrong message ("Kontakt und Impressum"). --Felix 09:06, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Problems solved. I made extensions to the Sidebar extension (wv-participation, sitesupport, and sitesupport-url) and added the reuire statement to the LocalSettings.php. --Roland 10:29, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Opera problem

The problem with the Opera browser and Linux (very slow editing, 100% CPU use when the edit field of the wiki is open) unfortunately is back (for me) with this new MediaWiki version. Can anyone confirm this? I don't know how many Opera Users we have here, and so I don't know how severe this problem is. With other browsers like Firefox, Konqueror and Flock, there are no problems.--kkkr ¡hablame! 13:33, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

--kkkr ¡hablame! 17:45, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Problem of the “grew box” solved. Opera does not inherite some properties from the table row to the table cell. Maybe this problem occured because of a style-sheet change in v 1.13. --Roland 15:57, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I can confirm both with Opera 9.26 on Debian Etch. Last time, the annooooyingly slow editing had been caused by a CSS command. Even this time, I bet on CSS. Also, the strange vertical centering looks like a missinterpreted or erroneous CSS command. Best we pass both problems over to Roland. He as done several modifications on CSS after the version upgrade. There is still an other hint for a CSS caused problem: I have no problems when editing on our association's wiki with Opera. Here, the CSS have not been modified. -- Hansm 18:30, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
I have fixed the problem with super slowly editing, what seemed to be the most important one to me. -- Hansm 13:38, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
