Votes for Deletion

This page contains a list of all images or media files that a currently nominated for deletion by one or more user. A decision whether a media file should be kept or not is usually due after a period of 14 days, after the media file appeared in the list for the first time. The decision will normally be a concencus of all user participating in the vote.

A new entry into the list is to be made as follows:

Every user nominating an image file for deletion is kindly requested to add {{vfd}} to the description page of the specific file in order to warn and inform other users that this file has been voted for deletion by at least one user. Adding the vfd-template will result in a warning message like this:

  • Delete - Licence not suitable for Wikivoyage at this time. If a tool existed that would exclude all GNU-pictures from printed guides or database dumps, we should be able to keep the picture. --Africaspotter 20:36, 23 July 2007 (CEST)
  • Comment: The GFDL 2.0 will be compatible to CC-by-sa thanks to the efforts of the Wikimedia Foundation which has contacted the FSF and they have found a solution in December 07. I think we should wait with the deletion of GFDL images until we know more details (probably we don't have to delete them at all). --Kkkr 03:47, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
