Wikivoyage General is a part of the Wikivoyage project to discuss language-independently the general development and all topics of a worldwide and independent travel guide. As you can see, this part of Wikivoyage is supposed to be for organisational matters and not for travel articles. It is also for providing all important metaarticles in English, so everybody should be able to get informed about the project. The project is still very young and therefore in some parts incomplete. So some articles are not yet translated into English (the preferred language on general). Please feel free to participate in this project. You are exceedingly welcomed. - 2010/03/15 — Wikivoyage Shared repository passed pagehit number 2,000,000.
- 2010/01/08 — German Wikivoyage branch passed pagehit number 7,000,000.
- 2009/12/10 — 3rd birthday of Wikivoyage. Implementation of a new web design.
- 2009/07/15 — The Italian language branch reached the 2,000th article with New Caledonia
- 2009/07/06 — Italian Wikivoyage branch passed pagehit number 1,000,000.
- 2009/06/19 — Wikivoyage has got a new server with much more powerfull hardware.
- 2009/04/01 — License upgrade. All new contributions are considered to be released under any existing and future version of the CC-by-sa.
